Also known as baby locs, are the initial stage of the locs journey. They are formed by allowing the hair to naturally tangle and lock, creating individual sections that will eventually develop into fully matured locs.

Retwisting is the technique in maintaining dreadlocks when we actually use the hairs around the root of the lock and wrap it down. The second technique called interlocking, is done when we incorporate the new hairs into the base of the lock making the root stronger thereby connecting the lock back to the scalp.
