How to optimize
your queues with
a QR code

For one entrepreneur it is wonderful when customers queue in front of your store, the other gets stressed-out about the frustration it can cause customers. There is good news for both types of entrepreneurs: every entrepreneur has an ordering system with Vev's new (and free) software that gives you free QR codes, scheduling and in most countries also payments.

Any entrepreneur who has an account with Vev can easily download a QR code in the company colors. This image is available in all conceivable formats, so that the code can be used in miniature on a menu or packaging, can be used on TV screens in the business, in advertisements or even in poster format.

What does a QR code do?

Your customers open the camera app on their Apple or Android phone. Then the camera will immediately recognize the QR code and the customer will immediately arrive at the order page of your company. So customers don't have to type anything over and are ready to order within a second. The handy thing about Vev's system is that customers do not have to create an account, but immediately indicate what they want to order. A name, phone number and email address is sufficient. Customers can pick up the order immediately, or choose a time in the future. The payment is simply made with you in the store, so that you do not incur unnecessary costs. This ordering system is therefore completely free to use.

Overview for you

You immediately see the orders coming in on your phone, tablet or computer in the store. Even if that's a business on wheels. All you need is a (mobile) internet connection.

How do you use the QR code smartly?

Make sure the QR code is placed in a clearly visible place for the customer. This can be done in a place where the queue forms naturally via a sandwich board, for example. Write above the QR: 'Scan the QR and skip the queue', or play into customer's lack of time by saying: “Little time? Scan the QR and place your order immediately”. You'll see that this works great for customers and your own planning. It simply makes it easier for people to order online. Research also shows that people also order more through these kinds of tools than they would have done at the checkout with you, especially if they feel pressured being in front of a giant queue. A customer sees your entire menu and all options at a glance, without having to ask for it. That means more turnover.

An ordering system for everyone

Vev's system works fantastic not only for brick-and-mortar shops, but also for festivals, pop-ups, sample sales, neighborhood parties, or for your company catering.
